The Campbell House: The Campbell House
The Campbell House, located near the University of Kentucky, is our conference hotel. The hotel was established in 1951 on land that was once an equestrian farm. It is now part of Hilton’s Curio Collection: “A global portfolio of remarkable hotels with one-of-a-kind stories to share.” If you don’t have time to explore the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, the Rackhouse Tavern at the Campbell House offers over 300 bourbons and local brews. Parking is complimentary.

Driving to the Campbell House
I-64 East or I-75 South to the Campbell House
- I-64 East and I-75 South merge just north of Lexington; exit numbers follow I-75 mile markers
- After the highways merge, take exit 113 and turn right onto Paris Pike/US 68/US 27 toward downtown Lexington
- Stay on US 68/US 27 for 4 miles (Paris Pike will become North Broadway after you cross New Circle Road (Highway 4)
- Stay on North Broadway through downtown (now Broadway)
- South of downtown the road becomes South Broadway
- The Campbell House will be on your right

Getting to the University of Kentucky’s Fine Arts Library from the Campbell House
Walking
The Campbell House is about 1.6 miles from the Fine Arts Library and will take 35 to 40 minutes to walk. Google Maps gives at least three routes, all of which zigzag across campus. If you are interested in walking, please contact Paula Hickner (paula.hickner@uky.edu) for more information.
By Car
If you plan on driving to campus, a parking garage will be the best option at $2.00/hr with a maximum of $16.00/day. Cornerstone Garage (PS #5) is closest to the Fine Arts Library. See UK’s Visitor Parking Options for more information.
For $6.50/day there is the possibility of surface parking, although this is harder to find between 9 am and 3 pm. We at UK call it a “permit to hunt.” Parking spots with this permit are very limited and not recommended.
By Plane
Blue Grass Airport (LEX)
Lexington’s Bluegrass Airport (LEX) is served by Allegiant, American, Delta, and United airlines. Both the Cincinnati Airport (CVG) and the Louisville Muhammad Ali Airport (SDF) are just under 90 minutes from Lexington by interstate. Although more airlines fly into Cincinnati and Louisville, you will need to rent a car to get to Lexington.

Getting to the Campbell House Inn from the Airport
Personal Car from the Bluegrass Airport to the Campbell House
- Head northeast on Airport Rd toward Man O War Blvd E
- Turn left at the light onto Man O War Blvd W
- Turn right at the light onto US-60 E/Versailles Rd and follow for 2.7 miles
- Turn right at the light onto Mason Headley Rd and follow for 1.5 miles
- Turn left into the parking lot of the hotel just before the stoplight at Mason Headley and Harrodsburg Road (you will see St. Joseph’s Hospital on your right and across the intersection)
